How do you feel about a day full of interesting facts about sleep and nutrition? Come and join our workshops in Mestni Trg, where you’ll discover lots of interesting stuff – how sweet your favourite drinks really are, how important having a good night’s sleep is for how you feel, how much power there is in your handshake, how sleep affects children with developmental disorders and their parents (that’s right – it affects their parents or guardians too), plus much more.
How are we going to look for balance between sleep and nutrition?
Researchers from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine, and the University Rehabilitation Institute Soča will present interesting and surprising discoveries about the significance of sleep quality. Did you know that sleep problems negatively affect not only healthy people, but even more so children with developmental disorders and their parents or guardians? Have you ever considered how many times a night they get up and when the last time they had a good night’s sleep was?
Researchers from the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, will show, in very explicit terms, how much sugar popular sweet drinks contain, as well as which other foods are full of sugar. All this sugar affects the composition of a person’s body. You’ll be able to step on our portable scales and find out your body’s composition. Our team will explain your results and share a few good tips on how to keep your body vital. In the end, you’ll be able to shake hands in thanks, and a portable dynamometer will tell you your general muscular power, which is linked to health and longevity.

You can follow us on social media, but nothing beats the live experience. See you in Mestni Trg?
The activities are financed by the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project.
The event is being prepared for you by Dr Katja Groleger Sršen and Dr Evgen Benedik and their teams.
