During the workshop, children discovered the representations and social images of animals (dog, mosquito, fly) and their phraseological use in language. They became aware of their mother tongues and were open to other foreign languages.
During the workshop, children from the Kolezija Kindergarten learnt the names of animals in Slovak and took part in movement and music games (dialogue, dance, song, repetition, story-telling, role-play with puppets).
They learnt about the profession of researcher (linguist, translator) and used fairy tales to connect and transcend the established relationships between humans and animals.
The workshop Two birds with one stone also opens up the possibility of upgrading for primary and secondary school pupils, focusing on the integration of knowledge and methods from linguistics, didactics, ecology, culture and literature.
