She began by explaining to the pupils what she researches and how the content of her research relates to writing for children and young readers. She introduced the students to the European Researchers’ Night poster and the meaning of the motto We read, Create and Perform – We Research!
She then read a poem and related it to her own literary work. She drew attention to the stylistic devices used in the poem and to the complementarity between verbal and visual/image language, the dialogue between text and illustration.
She gave a brief overview of the beginnings and development of her career as a writer, and looked in detail at novels suitable for the third cycle of primary school.
