The presentation started with a talk about the role of a pharmacist and the children were very happy to participate. Each of them hurried to explain about the medicines they had already taken, they talked about never taking medicines alone and that they could also get medicines for their pets in the pharmacy. They were also impressed by the white coat of the researcher.
They then started to make a nourishing cream that also contained animal ingredients (lanolin, which is extracted from sheep’s wool), which they thoroughly enjoyed. They then each filled their own jar with the cream and chose a sticker with an animal motif.
The children were really happy to take part and the teachers confirmed that they were enthusiastic, excited and proud when they handed over the creams to their parents when they went home. A short presentation of the activity (cream recipe, use, pictures, etc.) accompanied the visit to the kindergarten on the group’s notice board.
