In a relaxed environment, they tried to place the organs of the body in the correct positions on diagrams of different animals. They compared the skeletons of man, chimpanzee, gorilla and the austrolopithecus Lucy and tried to place them on the evolutionary timeline.
They sorted the animals themselves according to their main sense of smell, type of blood vessel and mode of respiration.
Students of the Sveta Trojica Primary School commented on the event: “Very interesting presentations, organised, informative and fun. We learned something new. The students were very friendly.”
The activity was prepared and carried out by one-grade biology students Eva Kopač, Blaž Režonja and Neža Kokalj and two-grade biology student Maruša Poje, with the help of tutors Zala Vidic, Katja Zdešar Kotnik, PhD, Tatjana Robič Pikel, pHd, and Petra Golja, PhD.
