The Rabbit on the Moon and Other Animals from the Buddhist Groves
The exhibition The Rabbit on the Moon and Other Animals from the Buddhist Groves connects storytelling, which has been a popular mode of communicating complex Buddhist teachings to the community at large since the very beginnings of Buddhism, with modern verbal and visual media, among which comic strips are particularly popular.

The illustrations on display were prepared by Ciril Horjak, Omar Horjak, Nina Tome Škarja and Ljiljana Marković.
The exhibition is part of the activity The Rabbit on the Moon and Other Animals from the Buddhist Groves – Animal Imagery in the Narrative and Philosophical Tradition of Buddhism as part of the European Researchers’ Night 2022-2023.
