In 30 workshops, around 200 pupils discovered intriguing phenomena, familiarised themselves with the plant and animal kingdoms, uncovering the beauty of science. A third of the workshops had a biological note, another third was chemistry-oriented, and the last third focused on physics.
The pupils acquainted themselves with pond life, getting to know different animals and dispelling their fears of them. They conducted experiments on their own and collaborated in explaining interesting results of tests, which were often performed with familiar implements and substances as one of the objectives was to bring science closer to pupils and encourage them to experiment at home. In some workshops, they created simple objects needed to conduct the tests.
The pupils attended multiple workshops, which took 15 to 20 minutes each. It was impossible to miss the curious eyes of pupils, their excitement in experimenting and the enthusiasm of the university students involved.
