I, Animal

Researchers from the Biotechnical Faculty, Anthropology Group of the Department of Biology, prepare workstations to teach students about the similarities and differences between humans and animals, and about the topic of evolution, in particular human evolution.

In a relaxed environment, the children try to place the organs of the body in the correct positions on diagrams of different animals. They compare the skeletons of man, chimpanzee, gorilla and the Australopithecus Lucy and try to place them on a timeline of evolution. They classify the animals according to their main sense of smell, type of blood vessel and mode of respiration.

 

The workshop is suitable for primary and secondary schools.
