How Do Fish Swim at Different Depths?

In this experimental workshop on fish life, primary and secondary school students will use simple implements to make a model fish with a fish bladder. They will submerge the model into “the sea”, i.e. a water bottle, and explore the conditions under which the “fish” swims near the surface or in its depths.

Guided by researchers from the Faculty of Education, they will compare the mechanism of the “fish” rising and sinking in the water with such mechanisms in actual fish, discussing the similarities and differences between the model and live fish specimens.
