The BIEN 2023 Biennial of Textile Art in Kranj took place from 31 May to 10 August 2023.
The artworks, collectively entitled Folklore. Fauna. In the park included hand-woven textiles entitled Woven Nature, machine-embroidered textiles entitled A Bond with the Sun, tufted sculptures and textiles entitled The Growth of Softness, and textile structures in mixed technique entitled Where the Sun Always Shines (an independent project by MA student Tasja Videmšek).

The handwoven textile with feathers is the work of 1st year undergraduate student, Taša Blatnik. The collective title of all the students’ works is Cunning Nature.
The tufted textile is the work of 2nd year undergraduate student, Zala Gorenc. The collective title of all the students’ work is The Growth of Softness.
The machine embroidery is the work of 1st year undergraduate student, Urban Dereani. The collective title of all the students’ work is A Bond with the Sun.
Textile structures in mixed technique are the work of the master student, Tasja Videmšek. The title of her work, which will be shown solo at the Biennale, is Where the Sun Always Shines.
