The scientific symposium was also the conclusion of the scientific research work of the past two years on the European Researchers’ Night – Humanities Rock! project, which aimed to show how omnipresent the animal is in the world of man and how necessary scientific debates on their coexistence are.
The symposium programme was be organised in four strands: starting in prehistory and antiquity, through the Middle Ages and the past centuries, and concluding with the challenges of the modern world and the human view of the animal as a sentient being.
