On this walk on city streets, in parks or in the natural environment, we are focusing on expanding our senses provided by digital devices, in this case digital cameras on our so-called smartphones or standalone digital cameras. We will encourage the walk participants to intensively take photos of their environments during the walk, which will take 30 to 45 minutes; then we will meet in a physical and virtual space to collect the images, later analysing them using the Orange machine learning software that is in development at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science. To conclude, there will be a discussion on the usefulness of AI tools in everyday and professional life.

You can participate in any location, in Ljubljana or elsewhere, anywhere in the world. Those who will walk in the Vič district of Ljubljana are invited to join us in lecture room P1 at Zavetiška ulica 5 when they finish.

After the walk, we will collect your photos on a joint server and subsequently analyse them using the Orange tool.

We will meet at the web address that the walk leader will share with all registered walkers a day before the walk on Friday, 27 September, at 11:00 a.m. The walk will take 30 to 45 minutes; it will be followed by a talk (in P1 and on Zoom) around noon.

The photo analysis will be conducted on Monday, 30 September, or Tuesday, 1 October – the exact time will be determined during the post-walk discussion.

The walk will be led by Dr Rajko Muršič, and the photo analysis will be presented by Dr Ajda Pretnar Žagar.

Register at rajko.mursic@ff.uni-lj.si; there will be a maximum of 20 participants.
