Due to its simple use and natural-language conversation with users, it quickly drew global attention. As one of the most advanced and fastest-growing AI-driven consumer applications, it has won popularity among students. As young people are often at the forefront of the uptake of new technologies, their perception is particularly important in a discussion about ChatGPT. This presentation thus relates to one of the most extensive global studies yet exploring how students perceived ChatGPT in early\u00a02024. Responses by 23,218\u00a0students from 109\u00a0countries, including Slovenia, provide an interesting insight into various aspects of ChatGPT, such as its use, performance, regulation and ethical concerns, satisfaction and attitude, studies-related challenges and results, skill development, labour market and skill mismatch, emotions.
