This was followed by field work on collecting different plant species, identifying them using stereomicroscopes and making bivalve identification keys. The pupils also discussed with the researchers the different technical definitions of species.<\/p>\n<p>In the workshop on human fish and amphibians, students learned about animal biology, genetic research, endangered species and their distribution through lectures and a 3D model of a human fish. In this workshop, the researchers also included a live amphibian that the pupils found around the camp (Bombina variegata).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The workshops were held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/marindol.si\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marindol Scout Centre &#8211; the Scout Centre of the Kranj Scout Association<\/a> in the Bela krajina region.
