In everyday life, we are perhaps surrounded by machines and apparatuses more than by other living beings. And while the latter can be endlessly invented and improved, our bodies remain the same.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ideas of transhumanism, which say that human beings can be perfected by technical and scientific means beyond the limitations imposed by their animal origins, embody this view and point to groundbreaking changes. Man is no longer defined (only) in relation to animals, but more and more in relation to machines and their almost limitless capacities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This art-science experiment attempted to think and articulate these relocations and changes both through the spoken word, which is one of the usual manifestations of scientific knowledge, and by highlighting the physical presence of speech as voice and movement in space, which are characteristic of artistic practice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event was a collaboration between the Educational Research Institute and the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television of the University of Ljubljana, as part of the European Researchers&#8217; Night \u2013 <em>Humanities Rock!<\/em>
